either set of cheeks. And the legs don't look too slim, either. Seriously, this is the only time of life when being chubby is desirable.
In this picture he fell asleep sitting up...poor boy does sleep well at night but usually has to cry himself to sleep for naps. That blanket is his snuggle buddy. It's pretty bulky, too, but we'll be packing it for our trip to Oregon coming up because he is always snuggling with it in his bed.
And when he wakes up, this is what I'm greeted by. Look mom, I can stand! How can you resist a face like that?
Lincoln loves to crawl. He crawls more than his brother and sister put together (Kate never crawled, and Jonah went to walking almost as soon as he learned to crawl). He is content to crawl around the house and get into whatever he can find. His favorite thing to do: crawl over to the piano, pull himself up, and reach up and play a few notes...the grin on his face is priceless. Another favorite pasttime is pulling the nightlights out of the electric sockets...still the cute grin, but not quite as safe.
Lincoln recently got to try out this little ride on toy. Since it was once Jonah's he feels that he is the one who should be showing Lincoln how it works (he calls it his bike). Lincoln actually really enjoys it, and it presents a great forum for his new favorite trick: waving.
He waves all the time now and it's the cutest thing ever. This weekend he also started clapping a little and is getting braver at cruising around furniture. It makes me teary to think of him getting so big! It's like the quote from one of my favorite movies, "Finding Neverland:"
"Young boys should never be sent to bed;
they always wake up a day older...
and before you know it, they're grown."

Wow- you've been busy. I love Kate in her cute pink feathers. I bet the recital was darling. That first picture of her is such a darling pose. How is it possible Lincoln is only the 25th percentile? I love chubby legs. What a cutie. Congrats to Jonah. Next stop Kindergarten. Can you believe it? Brig is almost a teenager. Ahhh! Time flies.
My kids love seeing pictures of your kids!!! I'm sure Kate did great in the recital - Gracie did the whole thing for me - longer than I expected - CUTE!!! (:
Ah, we love Lincoln and all of his cheeks and curls!
Shannon, Lincoln is so cute! Emma just said, "Oh, Lincoln is sooooo cute!"
Shan, I just want to call you and talk to you while I'm looking at your blog. I want to make a comment about every little thing, but that would get a little old in teh comments section. Anyway, those sleeping pictures kill me. Javi is funny with praying. A lot of times when we pray he won't fold his arms and then sometimes when he's in his high chair he'll fold his arms and kind of bow his head and I'll pray and he'll get all excited and then he'll do it again. Some days we're really spritual and pray like 3 times just in the morning. :)
