I Hear Wedding Bells

After months of anticipation, Uncle Michael's wedding day finally came!! We all dressed in our finest and headed to the Louisville temple to watch him wed his sweetheart, Caroline. The kids of course love Caroline and were very excited (Kate's biggest joy was wearing her wrist corsage at the reception). Above is our family waiting for the happy couple to come out of the temple after the ceremony.

While it's usually a bride's tradition, Jonah got himself a little something borrowed: Aunt Nancy's cane. He had a blast playing around with it...and I think it really completes his look.
Here's Jonah and Kate with Great-Grandma Clawson. They remembered her from our Arizona trips and were very excited to see her again...too bad she's a litte camera shy!
And here's the happy couple, posing for a photo with all the Barrington siblings/siblings-in-law. Caroline looked absolutely gorgeous, of course.
Later that day (after some well-needed naps) we headed to the reception. They had set up this adorable kids table, complete with sucker boquets. It was a hit with the kids, and they loved hanging out with cousin Andrew while they chowed down.

Here's Kate giving Lincoln a taste of the good stuff.
Did I mention they loved the suckers?
This is another Great Grandma...my dad's mom. She had met Jonah and Kate briefly about 3 years ago, and it was the first time to meet Lincoln, of course. We missed Great-Grandpa Barrington, who couldn't travel this time, but sent home lots of hugs and kisses.
Jonah had fun decorating the car with us. Apparently, it took almost a week of continual washings to get all the whipped cream and Oreo residue off the windows. Just a mark of a job well done, if I do say so myself!
Michael and Caroline are so good with our kids. They always take time to play with them...they even played a little game of chase at their own wedding reception! (Oh, to be young and have so much energy again!)
Congratulations, guys! We love you!
