First Haircut

Seeing as how Kate is now 3 years old, I finally decided that it was about time for her to have a real haircut. She was bald for so long, that it took me a while to admit that it really was okay to cut some of it off! Last summer I gave her a little trim and I've been cutting her bangs ever since, but honestly her pretty blonde hair was getting super long and kind of straggly. So, we headed out to the neighborhood Great Clips and had a professional take care of things.

Kate was really excited, and she sat very well in the chair. Of course she didn't say a word the entire time. Later, when talking about the experience, she thought it was hilarious that the stylist had to put two blocks on the chair to make her tall enough.

Here are the before and after pictures--she defintely chopped several inches. (Side note: Micah thought that the stylist reminded him of the "Bend-and-Snap" lady from Legally Blonde. I didn't think of it while we were there, but he was totally right!)

Now her pretty hair is a little more even and looks a little more cared for. Somehow I think that it will be sooner than another 3 years before we have to chop it again!
